A Look Upstairs: Landing, Bathroom and Guest Room

Once the placement of the basement stairs had been sorted, the stairs to the upper floor were a cinch.  Mike and Deanna can leave over this railing and talk about what a sweet deal they have, getting the house by squatting in it long enough that everyone else leaves:

Rooms are the guest room (front left), April's room (back left), bathroom (back right) and Elizabeth's room (front right, barely shown in this picture).  The doors don't line up to the floor plan because the floor plan didn't include any stairs, and once the stairs were placed, they were in the way of Elizabeth's door, so that side of her room has been done as a mirror image of the one in the floor plan.

Here's the view Mike and Dee would have had of April (if they'd bothered to remember she was in the house) as they joined with her parents in not involving her in any major decisions about her life:

The master bathroom:
I'm pleased with this one, right down to the hanging plant above the toilet.  There is a bathtub over to the right, but I couldn't get it in the shot.  Every bathroom in the Pattermanse has cleaning supplies on the counter: it is Elly's house after all!

The guest room, formerly Mike's bedroom:
So far, so good, except in my Pattermanse, this room has been adapted for Mike, Deanna and their kids so they don't have to displace Elizabeth.  The other end of the guest room looks like this:
Single bed for Meredith and a crib for Robin.  When Robin grew a bit older, the single bed was replaced with bunkbeds.
